Ashino-ko Lake
Ashinoko is a caldera-lake which was created by Mt. Fuji's volcanic activity. A superb view is the "Sakasa (inverse) Fuji" (the image of the mountain reflected on the lake) from south of Lake Ashinoko. The best chance to see Sakasa Fuji is calm days with no ripples. Firework festival "Ashinoko Summer Festival" is held at the beginning of August every year.
